Network News 02/2019

Dear members,

In February, the Advisory Board met at the office to discuss the strategic direction of the network going forward. The results of the meeting can be found below, as well as the current events in the working groups.
But let’s start with welcoming our two new members!

Assembrix is a software company based in Tel Aviv whose goal is to provide unused printing capacity (powder bed) centrally. Assembrix’ own software can be used for print preparation. Assembrix takes care of the distribution of free capacities at the service provider, the order, the forwarding and the dispatch.

OCAS NV (Onderzoeks Centrum voor de Aanwending van Staal) is a market-oriented research centre from Belgium, which offers products, services and solutions made of steel and metal for metalworking companies all over the world. Its AM focus is mainly on WAAM.

Welcome to the network and to a good cooperation!

On February 7th, representatives of 30 member companies met at our office for the annual meeting of the entire Materials working group. The agenda included an update of the thematic work inside the focus groups as well as exciting keynote speeches.
Furthermore, the focus group Market Needs will be relaunched under the leadership of SLM and focus group Metal Development will continue their activities under the name Metal Examinations.

The working group Legal Frameworks will be folded up and legal aspects will be handled topic-wise within the individual working groups.
Special thanks to Dr. Andreas Leupold for leading the working group!

Report from Advisory Council Meeting

[is-login]On January 31st and February 1st, the Advisory Board met for the first time for a two-day meeting at the representative office at Marienpark Berlin. After a short update from the office as well as latest board meeting, the aim of these days was to discuss the further strategic orientation of the network and to collect recommendations on the activities for 2019 from our experts. At its core, Mobility goes Additive will continue to link industries and support members in establishing contacts, to drive the topic of industrial additive manufacturing in new specialist markets (e.g. medical, industrial goods, “white goods”, construction machinery) while focusing its commitment primarily on Europe, while regularly gathering developments and impulses at international congresses.
We are especially proud of our new, fresher claim “We boost AM”, which will support our efforts to integrate additional target groups and markets into our network portfolio in future
Thanks to all involved for the productive brainstorming and this great result. Let’s go and boost AM![/is-login]
